how to solve a rubik's cube

If one faces edge pieces are already correctly positioned, orient that face away from you and perform whichever algorithm will cycle the remaining edge pieces in the appropriate direction. Two things to keep in mind: For each petal on the daisy, match the non-white sticker to the center piece of the same color. Step Seven: Position the Corners of the Cube. If your top face has two yellow edge pieces such that they form a backwards L, rotate the top face of the cube until the edge pieces are at the 12 and 9 positions of a clock and perform ***F U R U R F. The above algorithm swaps corners A and B. This step is the hardest because it is intuitive and requires patience. Follow the eight steps described in this video and you too can start solving Rubik's cubes faster and faster and faster. If the white corner piece is where it belongs but turned wrong then first you have to pop it out. If the matched sticker is left of center, perform the Left Trigger. Turn the BOTTOM layer to the LEFT. We can forget the completed white face so let's turn the cube upside down to focus on the unsolved side. The colors used for these illustrations is called BOY (because the Blue, Orange and Yellow faces are in clockwise order). If you are just starting out, aim to get down to two to three minutes. Read more about the permutation of last layer yellow corners here. If wikiHow has helped you, please consider a small contribution to support us in helping more readers like you. Next up is solving the second layer edges of your Rubik's Cube. Start by learning the notation that is used to describe the moves you will perform and the sides of the cube. Turn the top layer only to move another unsolved yellow piece to the front-right-top corner of the cube and do the same R'D'RD again until this specific piece is ok. Be careful not to move the two bottom layers between the algorithms and never rotate the whole cube! If you have a white sticker facing the top, position the white sticker over something that is not white (because it will disrupt whatever is underneath), and, depending on if the piece is on the right or on the left, perform the following algorithm: If you have an outward facing white sticker in the bottom layer, face it toward you and position the cube so that it is either in the bottom left or bottom right corner of the side facing you, and perform either the left or right trigger, respectively, to relocate it to the top face of the cube. First we have to make a white cross paying attention to the color of the side center pieces.
